The Rockets are dominating the NBA this regular season behind an onslaught of 3-pointers and incredibly accurate shooting, which is impossible to guard.
Though James Harden is the key to many of the points the Houston Rockets score, it’s not just the bearded one who is carrying this team. It seems as if everyone on the Rockets can make 3-pointers, and thereby everyone has the green light to shoot.
On the flip side, you might expect a team that constantly launches from long distance would have trouble getting to the free throw line, but the opposite actually is true. Houston have a very successful free throw conversion rate, which means the Rockets know how to put their heads down, get to the rim and absorb contact to perfectly complement their 3-point shooting.
That’s where today’s two drills come into play. The first one, “4 Shot Drill,” works on shooting from all over the floor, including mid-range jumpers, long-distance shots and attacking layups while the second drill, “Double The Fun,” focuses on consistency from various shooting areas on the floor.
